Candy Snake

 The Socially Distant Candy Snake was create for Halloween 2020 to keep our trick-or-treaters safe!

The Candy Snake started as a series of cardboard tubes from the Center for Creative Reuse. I used papier-mâché to create the head. 

Next, I painted and used tri-color LEDs to create the eyes.

Then I added a distance sensor for nostrils and used some Legos to create a mechanism to open and close the mouth.

Then we added the rest of the tubes to make the snake longer and set up for trick-or-treating!
